The purpose of this article is not to re-hash the histories of the peoples of the Middle East or the Slavic nations of eastern Europe which would mean that a book of 400 pages would be required. Instead, I ask the reader to familiarize themselves with an outline of those histories and to follow me in a discussion of the Biblical origins of some of the peoples of western Russia. Books such as The Origins of the Slavic Nations by Serhii Plokhy, The World of the Neo-Hittite Kingdoms by Trevor Bryce and The Balts by Marija Gimbutas are worthwhile reads in this context.
Instead, in this booklet we explore the peoples of Rosh mentioned in the Scriptures and their likely modern-day location and I expand upon the peoples of Rosh who reside alongside other nations resident within Russia and former Soviet Union republics. The other peoples of Russia, Ukraine and Baltic states are covered in detail in my book In Search of … the Origin of Nations (chapters 8, 12).
